La spiaggia di Costa Rei è uno dei tratti più belli della Sardegna meridionale. Il litorale dove sorge il famoso “scoglio di Peppino”, un grosso masso di granito in mezzo al mare dalla forma di una balena. Si estende per circa 10 chilometri da Porto Piratsu a Cala Sinzias, 10 chilometri di sabbia bianca e finissima attorniati da palme e da esemplari della macchia mediterranea; in alcuni punti, gli scogli che affiorano dall’acqua, creano delle piscine naturali.

Nei suoi 10 chilometri, di sabbia bianca e morbida, Costa Rei conta le località tra le più belle della Sardegna:

• La spiaggia di Capo Ferrato, alle cui spalle si estende una pineta attrezzata per i pic-nic.
• La spiaggia di Cala Pira: una piccola baia, sovrastata dalla Torre di Cala Pira, di sabbia sottile di colore bianco e rosa. Particolarmente indicata per i bambini.
• Cala Monte Turnu: questa spiaggia prende il suo nome dalla collina di roccia vulcanica che è posta alle sue spalle. Posto ideale per praticare snorkeling e visitare le tante grotte che giacciono sul fondo marino.
• Marina Rei: sabbia bianca e fine, mare cristallino e fondale basso fanno di questa spiaggia la meta ideale per le famiglie con bambini piccoli.
• La spiaggia di Sant’Elmo: diversi punti di accesso conducono a questa spiaggia alquanto lunga che presenta da un lato un fondo di sabbia bianca e fine, dall’altro un fondo di ciottoli.
• La spiaggia di Santa Giusta: spiaggia, anche questa molto lunga, fatta di sabbia bianca e fine. È famosa per lo “Scoglio di Peppino”, un enorme masso di granito dalla forma di balena, facilmente raggiungibile a piedi, che dona al paesaggio una suggestione particolare.
• Piscina Rei: in questo punto, situato al centro della spiaggia di Costa Rei, alcuni scogli emergono dall’acqua creando come delle piccole piscine. Ideale per praticare il diving e lo snorkeling
• Iba Sa Cresia: si estende a nord di Piscina Rei. È circondata da una folta vegetazione di macchia mediterranea e le sue acque, particolarmente cristalline, sono preferite dagli amanti del wind e kyte surf.
• Porto Pirastu: particolarmente indicata per le immersioni e la pesca subacquea, la spiaggia offre acque trasparenti e fondali bassi.
• Cala Sinzias: questa insenatura, dalla spiaggia di sabbia bianca e con acque cristalline, è molto amata dai surfisti. Ideale anche per chi viaggia in camper.

I servizi della spiaggia di Costa Rei

Costa Rei è per lo più spiaggia libera con brevi tratti attrezzati. Troviamo da semplici bar o chioschi, a punti ristoro. È possibile noleggiare ombrelloni e lettini e, in alcune spiagge, anche gommoni. Le spiagge, dal fondale basso, sono particolarmente indicate per le famiglie con i bambini piccoli e anche per i turisti a mobilità ridotta.
